BVA reports second case of whooping cough

It involves a third-grader at Rostraver Elementary.

On Monday, the Belle Vernon Area school district announced a second case of whooping cough in the past week.

According to Superintendent Dr. Timothy Glasspool, the district was informed Monday afternoon by the Pennsylvania Department of Health about whooping cough in a third-grade classroom at Rostraver Elementary.

The first case was reported Thursday in a second-grade classroom at Rostraver Elementary.
