Grants presented to local businesses at Mon Valley’s first I2E awards ceremony

The grand prize went to Amanda Altamare of 1837 Botanicals in Monongahela.

Amanda Altamare’s flower shop along W. Main Street in Monongahela has blossomed during its first year in businesses.

Now, thanks to a $5,000 grant she received Tuesday night as part of the Mon Valley Ideas 2 Enterprise Cohort, the future smells even sweeter as she continues to grow her business.
