Frances Amatangelo

CARROLL TOWNSHIP Frances Amatangelo, 81, of Carroll Township, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born April 9, 1943, in Donora, the daughter of the late John Yocolano and the late Jennie Puia Yocolano. Frani devoted herself to being the best mom possible. She was a wonderful listener and deeply compassionate, and after retiring from Johnson and Johnson she volunteered her time as a wish granter for Make-AWish. She cherished all her friendships, including the friends from her Zumba classes, garden club and book club. Frani’s bright smile, energy and kind heart will be sorely missed, but her spirit will continue to guide, and the memories of her will live in the hearts of those that knew her, always. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemarie Gonzales; and two brothers, Manuel Yocolano and John Yocolano. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gianna Marie Amatangelo; and her buddy, Bailey the beagle dog; a sister, Sarah (David) Natali of Donora; and a brother, Eugene (Kathy) Yocolano of Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724379-6900. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
