Tuesday night fire in Monessen

Monessen firefighters responded to a fire shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday n the 400 block of Reed Avenue for a church fire. Municipal Fire Chief Delmar Hepple  no one was in the building, and said it was most likely an accidental fire caused by electrical issues. Monessen No. 1 and Hilltop firefighters, Charleroi, Carroll Township, Bentleyville, Donora, North Belle Vernon and Washington Township fire departments were  at the scene.
