Ramont Small’s athletic and coaching career took him to a lot of different places.
He was a star multi-sport athlete at Ringgold, having starred in football and track before graduating in 1990.
He continued his football playing career at Akron and Washington & Jefferson, graduating from W&J in 1994.
After his playing days ended, Small had stops at several high schools as either a head or assistant football coach, including Brownsville, Geibel, Monessen, Ringgold and Charleroi.
He will be able to add one more stop to his lengthy resume in a couple months: the Washington-Greene County Hall of Fame.
Small will be inducted in the Washington-Greene HOF on June 7 during festivities at the Southpointe Hilton.
Small, who won WPIAL gold in the 200 meters and started on the Rams’ 1987 Big 10 Conference championship team, said he was a little surprised when he learned he was going into the HOF.
