Tigers cruise in PIAA opener

To say that the McKeesport girls’ basketball team has faced a lot this season would be an understatement. Despite all the outside noise, the Tigers always seem to keep their composure under pressure. It was more of the same in the first round of the PIAA Class 5A playoffs, as McKeesport took advantage of a balanced scoring effort and played stifling zone defense in a lopsided 61-32 victory over West York Saturday afternoon at Neenie Campbell Gymnasium.
