Emagene Hega, 85, of Fallowfield Township, passed away peacefully at The Residence at Hilltop on March 1, 2024. Born on Nov. 17, 1938, in North Charleroi, Emagene was the daughter of the late Grace Parkins and James Parks. A longtime member of the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi, she worked for Dr. Ureah and Dr. Mary Ducato for many years until her retirement. She was an avid reader and a skilled seamstress. She enjoyed family vacations and traveling with her husband, Stephen Sr. Emagene was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving to cherish Emagene’s memory are her daughter, Valerie (Bill) Stack; and son, Stephen (Kathy) Hega Jr.; her brother, James C. (Judy) Parks; grandchildren, Brett (Tracy) Katinsky, Brooke Katinsky, Rachel (Jason) Karelli, Stephen B. Hega III and Nathan (Aly) Hega; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Luca, Giana and Nico Karelli and Kellan Hega; and her two nephews, James and Johnathan Parks. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hega was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Stephen B. Hega Sr. All services were held privately for the immediate family only. Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022.
