Lisa M. Miller Pilarcik – Scenery Hill
Lisa M. Miller Pilarcik, 54, of Scenery Hill, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at Donnell House in Washington. Born Jan. 9, 1970, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John “Jack” Miller of Belle Vernon, and Sharon Miller Dalton and husband Gary of Fayette City. A resident of Scenery Hill for the past 19 years, Lisa was Christian by faith. She was a hospice nurse until she was diagnosed with ALS in 2020. Her work was her passion, and she spent her career providing love, comfort and care to her patients. Family was the most important thing to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them, doing outdoor activities with her husband, hunting, fishing and loved the Outer Banks. She played softball as a shortstop for Belle Vernon and Renegade Travel teams and then later coached. She is survived by her husband, Frank Pilarcik, to whom she just celebrated 29 years of marriage in December, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jacob and Marissa Pilarcik of Plum, and Alexander Pilarcik of Scenery Hill; brother, Ryan Miller; and mother-in-law, Jamie Pilarcik. She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott E. Miller; niece, Paige Miller; stepmother, Diana Miller; and father-in-law, Charles Pilarcik. Visitation will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
