Donald Wesley Brooks – Patriot, Ohio
Donald Wesley Brooks, 73, of Patriot, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024. Born in Charleroi on Aug. 19, 1950, he was the son of the late James E. and Charlotte W. Berg Brooks. Donald was a truck driver for Old Dominion Freight. Donald was a loving and devoted husband of 54 years, and a loving and caring father and grandfather. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Gay (Opfar) Brooks; sons, Shawn (Shea) Brooks and Jody (Lisa) Brooks; grandchildren, Phelan, Jackson, Eva, Isiah, Ezra, Berea, Darius, Logan and Madison; brother-in-law, Keith (Lora) Sadler; and sister-in-law, Elaine (Frank) Doric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Kimberly Brooks; baby granddaughter, Miah Brooks; and sister, Susan Sadler. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at JAMES C.
