He was a member of the R.O.T.C. program at Pitt and eventually served two years active duty as a first lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War and as a reserve officer for six years after the war. Davies and Tregembo Ford operated in Charleroi for many years and became Davies Ford Inc. in the early 1990s with Harold Davies as CEO. Upon Mr. Davies’ retirement, the dealership has continued, operated by his family. Harold and his wife, Elizabeth, were tireless supporters of the small business community in Charleroi, and the greater Mon Valley.
