Mollie Kathleen Borne – Glenville, N.Y.

By obits

Mollie Kathleen Borne of Glenville, N.Y., was born on Aug. 23, 1988, and passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 3, 2024. Mollie grew up in Scotia-Glenville and enjoyed living in the scenic woods of New Hampshire for the past decade. She loved spending time outdoors and relished any opportunity to be surrounded by nature. Mollie also had a deep appreciation for the arts, often immersing herself in music and all types of movie genres. Her unexpectedly dry sense of humor and quirky personality were a source of joy for her loved ones. Mollie dedicated her life to caring for animals and spent time as a veterinary technician assistant, a role she performed with empathy and compassion. Her life was enriched by the companionship of her beloved pets — Jack, Siggy and Nancy (to name a few). Mollie is survived by her loving mother, Jackie Borne and was predeceased by her father, Larry “Joe” Borne; and grandparents, Jack and Faye Munson and Marshall and Audrey Borne. She leaves behind extended family members and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her presence. As we mourn this unfathomable loss, plans for a service will be announced at a later date. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Schenectady, NY 12302, or Montgomery County SPCA, 1007 NY5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Mollie’s gentle spirit will be profoundly missed, creating a void that can never be filled. Her memory will endure in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in the joy of her company. May she rest in eternal peace.
