Tax credit change offers savings for many state residents

With tax season fast approaching, new funding secured in Pennsylvania’s budget will be used to help families with child care, as well as care of other dependents in their homes. The state increased its child care tax credit from 30% to 100% of the federal child care and dependent tax credit, which is based on income. It’s expected to save taxpayers about $125 million.
