Monessen holds line on 2024 taxes

Monessen property owners will not experience a tax hike next year as city council approved the first reading and advertising of the 2024 budget at Wednesday’s special meeting.
“No tax increase, right?” Solicitor Joseph Dalfonso asked after the motion to advertise the 2024 budget was read by Councilwoman Lois Thomas.
Mayor Ron Mozer confirmed there would be no tax increase next year.
Wednesday’s special council meeting lasted less than 10 minutes.
