Volunteers collect flags from veterans’ graves

Perry George, a member of American Legion Post 28, has helped remove worn-out American flags from the graves of veterans in Monessen for about the last 15 years. That continued Tuesday as about a dozen volunteers, led by George, rounded up more than 1,000 U.S. flags from veterans’ graves at Grandview Cemetery.
