Monessen: 16 properties targeted for demolition

Monessen council approved a motion during Thursday’s meeting to demolish 16 blighted properties throughout the city. Prior to the council meeting, Monessen held a public hearing for the properties proposed for demolition. None of the property owners attended, so they will have 30 days to appeal the decision.
