Experience leads Eagles to WPIAL title

The Serra Catholic volleyball team has been one of the most successful programs in the Mon Valley for the last decade, but something was missing…a WPIAL title. The wait is now over. After losing in the finals to Frazier last year, the top seeded Eagles showed their poise on the court Saturday afternoon in the WPIAL Class 1A championships at Peters Township High School’s AHN Arena, defeating No. 3 Bishop Canevin, 3-1, to bring home the program’s first ever district title.
