Late surge lifts Western Beaver past Serra

Serra Catholic led by four points in the second half before running out of steam in its playoff opener Friday night. The eighth-seeded Eagles held a 21-17 advantage in the third quarter until ninth-seeded Western Beaver tallied 21 unanswered points en route to a 38-21 victory in a WPIAL Class 2A first-round matchup at Norwin High School.
