TJ looks to rebound in playoff opener

Thomas Jefferson ended its regular season with a 28-7 loss to McKeesport at home last Friday. The Big Seven Conference setback eliminated the Jaguars from conference title contention and a possible first-round bye in the Class 4A playoffs. After their first loss of the season to Trinity earlier this fall, TJ bounced back in a big way by outscoring their next two opponents by a 132-0 margin. Veteran coach Bill Cherpak would not mind the same type of bounce back for the start of the WPIAL playoffs.
