Grant program promotes hiring of police officers

Law enforcement agencies across the Mon Valley have struggled for years to recruit full-time officers to help keep communities safe. The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency has introduced a new grant program to help. The new funding, announced Friday, will support the recruitment of approximately 2,000 new full-time law enforcement officers across the state.
