South Allegheny kept within a half game of first place Wednesday with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Bentworth in a Section 2-1A thriller in Ellsworth. Ava Martorelli scored off an Abby Allan assist to give the Gladiators (4-0, 2-0) all the scoring they would need thanks to the steady play of Ella Lotz in goal.
