The Monongahela Aquatorium’s Rockin’ on the Mon summer concert series will return after a one-week break this Saturday, featuring ’80s rock tribute band 13 Stories, opened by Robin and Bob.
Tickets for the show are $10 per person. Gates open at 6 p.m.
13 Stories’s six band members reside in northern parts of the Pittsburgh area. The band has been around for almost 15 years, and it’s current lineup comprises Dave Batistig on lead guitar and vocals, Richie Topeka on keyboards and vocals, Heidi Oskin on lead and backing vocals, Joe Lybarger on bass guitar and vocals, Mark Anderson on lead and backing vocals and Alex Brewer on drums.
Batistig, the founder of the band, said the band covers a wide variety of 80s rock music from artists such as Bon Jovi, Journey, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Pat Benatar, Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Skid Row, Poison, Whitesnake, Stevie Nicks, Ozzy Osbourne, Brian Adams and more.
“We play ’em as close to the original sound as possible,” Batistig said.
