Bats, pitching lead Charleroi to first-round win

Behind a dominating pitching performance from three of top arms, the Charleroi American Legion baseball team picked up a win in its opening game of the Pennsylvania state tournament at Rosa-Oglietti Field in Latrobe Monday. Ashton Ray, Ben Shields and Lorenzo Glasser combined for a five-inning three-hitter as Charleroi rolled to a 10-0 win over Falls Post 834 of Levittown.
