Richard Thomas Cranford, 77, of Pittsburgh, went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2023, He was born March 2, 1946, in Pricedale to the late Marion Cranford and Es-telle Lockett. Richard attended Bellmar Senior High School and retired from the U.S. Steel mill in Gary, Ind. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a man who loved his family. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Pearl Gallmore, Mattie Ora Jones, Beatrice Cranford and Annette “Boots” Davis; and four brothers, Leon Cranford, Cyrenus “Tim” Cranford, Marion Cranford Jr. and Percy Cranford. He leaves to mourn his two daughters, Richelle Thomette McClain of Pittsburgh and Marnette Renee Reed of Madison Wisconsin; and two sons, Richard Thomas Cranford Jr. of Gary, Ind., and Tedaryl Mason of Santa Clara, Calif.; four grandchildren, Arielle Hamer, Noah Reed, Amanda Reed and Jack Reed; one great-grandchild, Athena Reed; a sister, Carole Corbin from Chicago, Ill.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at which time a service will begin at WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062. Jackie Mills will bring forth the message. Arrangements are entrusted to WILLIAM R.
