Four pets killed in Monessen fire

Three dogs and a cat died in a house fire Wednesday afternoon in Monessen, authorities said. Two people live in the house at 547 Summit Ave., but no one was home during the fire, according to Monessen Fire Chief Delmar Hepple. The home is a total loss, but no other houses were damaged because of how far back it sat on the property.
