Homer-happy Leps stun Warriors to advance to title game

As sweet as career win No. 300 was for Belle Vernon Area softball coach Tom Rodriguez, No. 301 was a little sweeter.

The No. 4 seeded Leopards brought out the sticks Wednesday and scored all of their runs except one via the long ball as they stunned No. 1 Elizabeth Forward – spoiling the Warriors’ bid for a perfect season – with a 10-1 win in a WPIAL Class 4A semifinal at West Mifflin.
