Janet Gossett, 71, of Charleroi, died Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born March 18, 1952, in New Eagle, daughter of Daniel and Rose Baxter Gust. Janet attended Monongahela High School and later went on to study at the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She was employed for over 30 years at Foodland/Save A Lot in Charleroi until its closing. She was a member of the Charleroi Baptist Church. Janet was a devoted wife and mother and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the most loyal person who had the ability to never cast judgment. She is survived by her son, Charles Espey of Charleroi; daughter, Andrea Gossett of Charleroi; six grandchildren, Alisha Baker, Katelynn Espey, Janet Carr, Marisa Espey, Ian Espey and Daniel Hamay; four great-grandchildren, Bennett and Skyla Baker, Roman and Cassidy Espey; two brothers, James (Sandi) Gust of Washington, Jerry (Lynn) Gust of Chambersburg; two sisters, Joyce Cassarino of Monongahela, Judy (Joseph) Druciak of Belle Vernon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Gossett, who died June 22, 2005; daughter, Dana Corrick, who died Aug. 14, 2021; twin great-grandsons, Wyatt and Emmett Carr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Zion Cemetery, Monongahela.
