Jean Mary Scott – Neptune, N.J.

By Mon Valley Independent

Jean Mary Scott, 69, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital. A daughter of the late Raymond and Cecilia Stolz, Jeanie was born in Neptune, N.J., on Dec. 31, 1953. Jean resided in Freehold, N.J., and Jackson, N.J., and later moved to the Pittsburgh, Pa., area in 1992. Jean loved to cook, bake, craft, and spend time at the Jersey Shore. We are reminded that a mom’s love for her children lasts forever. She was loved deeply by all who knew her, and we are comforted knowing that she is at peace in Heaven. Jean is survived by her son, Alan Dwight (Patricia) Scott Jr. of Basking Ridge, N.J.; her two daughters, Jacqueline Marie (Chad) Mathers of Rostraver, Pa., and Janeen Anne Keller of Morgantown, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Marissa, Cydney, Colin, Cameron and Ty; two brothers, Raymond (Barbara) Stolz Jr. of Hershey, Pa., and John (Jon White) Stolz of Colts Neck, N.J., and a sister, Joan Stolz of Freehold, N.J. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Stolz; and her sister, June Weisneck. Family and friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, April 24, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Pa., 724- 929-5300. A blessing will begin at 1 p.m. with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
