Private services were held for Howard “Tom” Frola, 81, of Finleyville, who passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born Jan. 2, 1942, in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Hector H. and Dorothy Gibson Frola. Tom was a 1960 graduate of Monongahela High School. For over 30 years, he worked as an architectural draftsman for Robert Stevens Co., and he continued his career at Zervous Construction in Bethel Park until his retirement. Tom enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons (whom he adored), having his lunch every day at McDonald’s in Monongahela with his wife, Deanna, playing PokerStars on the computer and watching movies. He also enjoyed reminiscing with friends and family about his years spent at his family’s cabin at Kinzua in Warren, Pa. An avid gardener, Tom always took pride in his yard. He is survived by the love of his life for 59 years, his wife, Deanna (Greco) Frola; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey (Cindy) Frola of Monongahela; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer (Michael) Behanna of Fredericktown; a sister and brother-in-law, Patty (Denny) Lorenzi of Monongahela; his pride and joys, grandsons, Wade and Shane Behanna; a brother-in-law, Sal (Lois) Greco of Monongahela; and several nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Eugene “Durango” Greco and Frank “Fly” Greco. Interment was held in Monongahela Cemetery. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, was in charge of his arrangements. Condolences can be made online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
