Now that the dust has settled on the Monessen girls basketball team and the “busgate” situation, the Greyhounds are finally ready to take the floor today at Otto-Eldred. Tip-off between the Hounds and Terrors is set for 3 p.m. in Duke Center. “It’s been a roller coaster year from start to finish, so we’re kind of used to it,” Greyhounds head coach Janine Vertacnik said. “We’ve always adapted to what’s been thrown our way and we did the same thing in this situation with the bus. It’s settled, we’ve had two great days of practice to kind of loosen up. Now it’s time for us to go represent the Valley and give it our best shot up there.”
