Hugh ‘Sonny’ Link – Carroll Township

Hugh “Sonny” Link, 80, of Carroll Township, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023. He was born May 19, 1942, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Hugh Link and the late Emma Blank Link. Sonny was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving with the United States Army. He was the owner of Link’s Dari Delite until 1988 and was a retired electrician. He was a member of IBEW Local No. 5 for 50 years as of June 2022 and a member of Bona Fide Car Club. Sonny enjoyed attending car shows with friends and family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Torhan Link, on July 9, 2022. Surviving to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Jodi Link of North Carolina and Terri (Michael Jr.) Petroske of Donora; three grandchildren, Logan Petroske, Caleb Petroske and Deanna (Tyler) Bevan; a sister, Jean Hibar of Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Donora Fire Department.
