Donora may hire part-timer for code enforcement

Donora may be close to adding a new code enforcement officer. The borough has slowly rebuilt administrative staff since a mass walkout left the borough building empty in June. Having promoted former bookkeeper Louis Morrison to borough administrator last month, council members said they’ve since interviewed for a part-time code enforcement officer. Mayor Don Pavelko, council President Mike McDowell and Morrison interviewed the applicant, who would come on at $23,000 a year and work 20 hours a week.
