Rain brings flood watches to Mon Valley

A power outage Sunday evening affected several homes in North Charleroi.

Heavy rain over the weekend sparked several flood warnings throughout the area, with river levels rising around the Mon Valley and Pittsburgh.

From Saturday to Sunday morning, Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland and Greene counties were under a flood watch. According to the National Weather Service, by 8 a.m. Saturday, the Pittsburgh region had received 1-2 inches of rain.
