It was a cold shooting night for both PSAC West rivals Wednesday night at the Convocation Center, but California got going late in the first half and carried the play in the final 20 minutes for an 86-68 triumph over Clarion. “Both teams came out struggling on offense tonight,” Cal coach Danny Sancomb said. “For us, turnovers killed us early on. We were throwing the ball out of bounds and had no flow on offense. We were not crisp on offense, but we settled into this one and our offense got out of its funk. We round out shooting a good percentage and I thought our guys dug in for the win.”
