Andrew S. “Heads” Pinasko, 89, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, in his home. Son of the late John and Mary Kobal Pinasko, he was born in Monessen on Feb. 5, 1933. Formerly of Monessen, Andrew resided in Belle Vernon for the past 38 years, was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen and retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a U.S. Army veteran during peacetime.  Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Andria and David Trenk of Latrobe, and Margaret and Jon Neil of Florida; a son-in-law, Richard LaGamba of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Verna Janosik and Dorothy “Tootsie” Santo Columbo, both of Monessen; seven grandchildren, Richard (Chrissy) LaGamba, Camden (Neely) Mascara, Kayla (John) Gigliotti, Colin Trenk, Ian Trenk, Brandon (Gracie) Neil and Ashton (David) Breithaupt; five great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Gino, Benjamin, Nicolas and Declan; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his loyal pup and watchdog, Jack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion “Bunny” Spiker Pinasko, on June 18, 2009; a daughter, Glady LaGamba on May 7, 2016; two sisters, Elma Cikola and Anna “Anka” Janicki; and two brothers, Andy (in infancy) and John “Skanka” Pinasko. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Thursday with Father Steve Wahal officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA.
