Patricia D. Macfarlane Sullivan, 72, of Washington, formerly of Monongahela, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, atWashington Hospital. Born March 16, 1950, in New Eagle, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Sr. and Lenora “Jo” Varela Macfarlane. Patty attended Douglas School of Business in Monessen after her graduation from Monongahela High School in 1968. She worked with infants for over 20 years at Justabout Kids in McMurray and loved watching her TV shows, especially “Pioneer Woman,” “My Lottery Dream Home,”  Christmas Hallmark movies and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Sullivan of Washington; two brothers, Robert A. Macfarlane of Monongahela and James W. and wife Dawn Macfarlane of Monongahela; a sister-in-law, Terrie Macfarlane; two nieces, Lynn Macfarlane and Courtney Macfarlane (fiancé, Harrison Hubert); and a nephew, Jordan Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. “Sonny” Sullivan, who died May 31, 2013; and a brother, Thomas H. Macfarlane Jr., who died Aug. 2, 2012. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2022, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
