Ana Rivera Griffith – Avon, Ohio

Ana Rivera Griffith, 79, of Avon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, on May 4, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Juan and Carmen Arroyo Rivera. Ana retired from the Lorain County Auditor’s Office, where she was a deputy auditor. Faithful in her love of the Catholic Church, she was a eucharistic minister for many years. Ana will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Fred M. Griffith; beloved daughters, Lora (Timothy) Bohn and Denise (James Jr.) Stump; beloved grandchildren, Sarah (Tim) McClaren, Joshua Bohn, Hannah Bohn, Maria Stump and Adam Stump. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Beth Vargas. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, Avon, Ohio, www.misencikfuneralhome.com. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Trinity Church – Avon, followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Ana’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org.
