Charleroi: Appointment to ABC board sparks dispute

Charleroi council’s recent board appointment to the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi allegedly violated borough code — although the borough contends the move was legal and legitimate. During a voting meeting Wednesday, council made a motion to fill a vacancy on the ABC board that will begin in January when the term of current member Dave DiPiazza expires.
