Suspension overturned for Donora police officer

Donora council voted to overrule the suspension of a police officer Thursday, reimbursing him for three days of lost pay and eight hours of overtime. Mayor Don Pavelko suspended officer Michael Parry from Nov. 17-19 for failing to appear at a Washington County Court of Common Pleas hearing Nov. 14 after being sent a subpoena. Parry was scheduled to testify after recording a defendant with an alleged blood-alcohol level of .225 at the time of arrest.
