Forest Hills Road opening to be delayed

A promise made to Smithdale residents two weeks ago came undone Monday. Elizabeth Township officials will keep Forest Hills Road closed through the winter months, rather than moving forward with a plan that would have opened it to local traffic on a temporary basis. Dan Poirier communicated the township’s position Monday at the commissioners’ meeting.
