Salvation Army to host gift drive at Donora skating rink

The Mid Mon Valley Salvation Army slides into the holidays Saturday with a community party and gift drive at the Roll ‘R’ Way skating rink in Donora.

The organization annually holds a community holiday gathering for Valley residents, but this is the first time the party’s on wheels.

“This year, with the opening of the new skating rink in Donora and with us moving to the borough, we decided we’d make it fun and hold it at Roll ‘R’ Way,” said Capt. Sue Thwaite.
