Cecilia Chornak, 90, of Arnold City, Belle Vernon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born March 18, 1932, in Arnold City, daughter of Walter “Butch” Wozniak and Anna Bialon Wozniak. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service at the Belle Vernon office, a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Parish in Monessen and a former member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City. She was a 1950 graduate of Marion High School. Cecilia enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino and traveling with her childhood friend, Fran Kramrich Olesky. The family would like to thank the staff of B-2 Westmoreland Manor, Dr. Gregory and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care of Cecilia. Cecilia is survived  by two daughters, Beverly Skira of Arnold City, and Michelle Crawford and husband Gary of Greensburg; son, Michael Chornak and wife Nancy of South Park; granddaughter, Michelle Skira of Arnold City; grandson, Randy Crawford and wife Dawn of Florida; grandson, Michael Chornak of Ohio; granddaughter, Katie Fisher and husband Nathan of Butler; six great-grandchildren, Indigo Crawford, Chance Crawford, Helena Crawford, Rhett Fisher, Landry Fisher and Dalton Fisher; niece, Claudia Stewart; niece, Deborah Zadrozny; niece, Cynthia Wozniak; niece, Karen Wolfe; and nephew, Paul Wozniak. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Chornak; brother, John J. “DoDo” Wozniak Sr.; son-in-law, Ronald Skira; and nephew, John J. “Rabbitt” Wozniak Jr. Family and friends are asked to meet at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen, at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, for a funeral Mass with Fr. Michael Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
