Entering his seventh season at the helm of the California Vulcans football program, Gary Dunn hasn’t lowered the bar as far as his expectations go for the upcoming campaign.
Every year, the goals remain the same and players are held to a high standard as they prepare to battle for conference and national titles.
“I’m excited about this group because we’ve got a nice mix of older guys and younger guys who have stepped up in camp,” Dunn said. “The expectations for Vulcan football never change as we want to compete for a conference championship. You have to scratch and claw your way every week, though. You have to be ready to play.”
Dunn has the luxury of returning a familiar face to lead the charge at quarterback.
Noah Mitchell enters his fourth season as the Vulcans’ starter under center. He’s coming off a season in which he completed 64% of his passes for 2,937 yards and 25 touchdowns.
