Timothy Albert Landrin, 75, of Charleroi, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022. He was born on Dec. 23, 1946, in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Tim was the son of the late Albert and Eleanor Dolan Landrin. Tim was a Charleroi graduate of 1965. He then graduated from St. Vincent College with a bachelor’s degree. Following college, Tim served in the military as a U.S. Army medic, then, after the Army Tim attended the University of Pittsburgh for his master’s degree. Tim was employed by SPHS Area Agency on Aging and was the director of long-term care for 43 years, retiring in 2019. He served as a board member for the Charleroi Area Education Foundation. He was also a board member of the Charleroi Area Public Library for 42 years. Tim was a teacher at Washington & Jefferson College, was a coach for youth sports including CCBC basketball, and enjoyed golfing, gardening and playing cards at 10th Street A.C. Tim loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and traveling with Linda Fafalios. Surviving to cherish Tim’s memory are his sons, Adam (Angela) Landrin and Daniel (Diana) Landrin; and his daughter, Sarah (Bart) Thompson; his sisters, Mary Pat (Ed) Traversari and Nancy (Bill) Denniston; his brother, Jack (Donna) Landrin; and his grandchildren, Kylie, Ellie and Isaac Thompson, Ian and Olivia Landrin and Dakota Landrin. Also surviving are his beloved Linda Fafalios and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., (formerly Schrock- Hogan Funeral Home) 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, in the funeral home with Father Jim Bump officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com.
