By obits

John Yocolano, 87, of Donora, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born on Aug. 7, 1934, in Donora, son of the late Angelo and Helen Fiorino Yocolano. John was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. He was also a member of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. John retired after 25 years from Westinghouse Corporation. He was a veteran and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. John’s greatest loves were his family, singing and making people laugh through his jokes. He never wanted to lose his sense of humor. John was an avid Steelers fan and always looked forward to the start of the football season. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Clement, on March 3, 2020. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Eleanor, the love of his life for 65 years; four children, John (Barbara) Yocolano, Maxine (Timothy) Dunseath, Linda Yocolano and Karen (William) Pepke and their families; two sisters, Marie Kasprzyk of Michigan and Yolanda Anders of Arizona; and a brother, Richard Yocolano of Florida. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900. Private services and interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Monongahela, were held at the convenience of the family. To honor John’s memory, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Andrew the Apostle Parish or a charity of your choice. To share a condolence, please visit www.massafrafuneralhome.com.
