Sharon Ann Hamer, 72, of Fairhope, died Monday, July 25, 2022. Born in Pittsburgh on April 4, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Alvie A. and Christabell A. Hart Branthoover. Sharon worked for the BVA School District, Stringhill’s Restaurant and California University of Pennsylvania. She had a strong work ethic and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, David J. (Rachael) Hamer of Elizabeth and Donald L. (Valerie) Hamer of Fairhope; grandchildren, Cameron, Riley, Colby J., Ryan and Courtney Hamer; brother, Thomas (Debbie) Branthoover of Rostraver; twin sister, Karen (Bill) Hannan of Rostraver; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime companion, Frank Orelli of Fairhope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hamer; brother, Alvin Branthoover; and sister-in-law, Susan Branthoover. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Elder Thomas Hamer officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
