David R. Gray Sr. – Monongahela

David R. Gray Sr., 80, of Monongahela, Carroll Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on May 25, 1942, in Charleroi, to the late David K. and Dolores Ferrari Gray. After high school, Dave enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After returning home, he began working as a laborer for many years at the John Dolly (Finleyville Drilling Co.). Dave always enjoyed being outdoors and loved fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Beaumont Gray; three sons and a daughter-in-law, David R. Jr. (Catherine) Gray of Van Voorhis and Doug and Melvin Gray of Courtney; and four daughters, Donna Gray of Florida, Angie Batovsky of Belle Vernon and Amber and Lindsey Gray of Courtney. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dolores Struniak. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, was in charge of the arrangements.
