Steven John Granus – North Charleroi

Steven John Granus, 66, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022, at home with his loving family by his side. Born on Dec. 30, 1955, Steve was the son of the late Paul Jr. and Norma Jean Hough Granus. Christian by faith, Steve was a member of First Christian Church in Charleroi, a graduate of Charleroi Area School District, Class of 1973, a former Lock 4 volunteer fireman, and he worked over 30 years as a tool and die maker for General Motors. Steve loved spending time with his family and pets, loved watching his little brother Allen’s band perform and relaxing in the mountains in his family’s camp. Steve also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. Surviving to cherish Steve’s memory are his brothers, Paul Granus III of North Charleroi and Allen (Tracy Koerner) Cecil Granus of Charleroi; his nephew, Allen Cecil Granus Jr. of North Charleroi; his two dogs, Angel and Nicole; and his cat, Cally. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Lee Ann Granus. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, and from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at which time funeral services will begin at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.
