Lance “Pooch” Johnson Jr., 36, of Donora, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 1, 2022. Born Feb. 17, 1986, in Pittsburgh, to Mary E. Groomes and the late Lance Johnson Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Lance Johnson; niece, Mylah Satterfield; maternal grandmother, Lillian Tyree; uncle, Christopher Tyree; paternal grandparents, Phyllis and Samuel Humpreys; and uncle, Stanley Johnson. Lance is survived by his wife Lakisha Johnson; children Zylinn, Renee, Neveah Rashea; sons, Lance Johnson III, Noah Blake and Dayne Wilson; three sisters Corrie Crews, Amber Satterfield and Nicole Johnson; aunts, Laura Oliver and Leslie Johnson; nephews, nieces, a host of cousins and other relatives and many lifetime friends, too many to name them all. Lance loved his family and friends. He was a jokester, funny and fun to be around. He had his own language that everyone from Donora knew. He enjoyed fishing and watching cooking shows. He was a great cook, especially on the grill, earning the “Grill Master” apron. He was a rapper, former member of Donora INC., an avid conspiracy theorist and Steelers fan. Lance was loved by many, leaving a lasting impression on all he encountered. He will be so missed.
