Anna Rongaus, 92, of Donora, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Penn Highlands Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born on Dec. 20, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph Gocal and the late Blanche Sezawich Gocal. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Rongaus was a longtime member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish where she was an active volunteer with the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary, festivals, fish dinners and the Christian Mothers Women’s Guild. Mrs. Rongaus attended Douglass School of Business where she received an associate degree in office management and bookkeeping. Anna worked as a seamstress for many years for Donora Sportswear and was a member of the Sons of Italy Ladies Lodge. She loved spending time with her family, playing bocce and loved duckpin bowling at the Croatian Club in Donora. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ezio A. Rongaus, on Nov. 20, 2021; two sisters, Jeanette Nevins and Elizabeth Bobinski; and a brother, Ted Gocal.   Surviving to cherish her memory is a daughter, Anna Marie Rongaus Johnson of Florida; three sons, Walter (Palma) Rongaus of Donora, Dominic (Kelly) Roncace of New Jersey and Joseph (Dana) Rongaus of Upper St. Clair; grandchildren, Tiffany, Ryan, Chelsea, Dominic, Elise, Taylor and Jordan; a great-grandson, Grayson; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Donora Campus of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.
