Mildred Marie Stech – Charleroi

Mildred Marie Stech, 92, of Charleroi, passed away at home on July 5, 2022. She was born on May 27, 1930, to Suzanna Bačiak and George Revala Sr. She graduated in 1948 from Charleroi High School and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charleroi. She is survived by daughters, Dr. Janice Sue Gates (husband, Michael Pherigo) and Amy Lou Linderman (companion, Daniel Indof); grandchildren, Emily Gates Hearl (Brian), Jessica Linderman Kerlicker (Paul) and James Linderman; great-grandchildren, Julie and Mya Kerlicker, Christine, Katelyn and Kimberly Linderman and her namesake, Miley Millie Marie Hearl; and two nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 52 years, Harry W. Stech; an infant daughter, Joyce Marie (twin to Janice), siblings, Anna Davis, George Jr., an infant sister, John, Emil, Edward; and grandson Todd Linderman. Mildred devoted her life to her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and the best mother ever. She will be missed more than words can express. She was the heart of our family. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. (formerly (Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charleroi with Paul Surovchak officiating. Interment will be held at Monongahela Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or a local animal shelter.
